Maria Timmer

Though Maria Timmer was born in Nicaragua, she was raised in South Florida. She is a meteorologist who is one of the most known multilingual newscasters. Maria ventured into the field of meteorology because of the impact that hurricane Andrew had on her when she was five years old, and she has since flourished in it.
Timmer began working for Fox News Channel in 2010 as their on-air meteorologist, providing weather updates. She left the network after six years in the program and is now a postdoctoral scholar in the Advanced Study Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
