Yao Ming – 7’6″ – Basketball
What can we say about Yao Ming? At 7’6”, the Chinese-born center is an 8-time NBA all-star, 2003’s Rookie of the Year, and the only non-US player to lead the NBA in all-star votes. During his time as a professional player from 2002 to 2011, Ming was the tallest player in the NBA. However, he was much more than just that; matching his physical advantage with great technical skills.
He retired from basketball after giving up to a recurring foot injury that kept him sidelined for over 200 games. In 2016, Ming was introduced into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame along with Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson.
