Born in Russia in 1987, she became a US citizen in 1994. Sharapova is widely known for her 36 WTA career titles, but there’s a lot more to the sportswoman than trophies.

Sharapova released her own line of candy (catchily named Sugarpova), worked closely with numerous humanitarian causes, and was granted multiple endorsement deals throughout her career. She’s still recognized as one of the most famous female tennis players in the world and is one of the biggest celebrities in the sports world.
