According to makeup artist Katey Denno, eyelash curlers aren’t dangerous… “When used correctly!” As seen in the picture, the incorrect use of these beauty tools can have devastating effects.

Ripping your eyelashes off isn’t bad just because of aesthetic reasons. The eyelashes serve an important function, protecting our delicate eyes from all sorts of debris. Dubbed “the first line of defense for our eyes,” eyelashes are particularly effective when we sleep or have our eyes closed. So yeah, always put safety first and beauty second!
