An Empowered Woman

Who would’ve thought that Shannon would emerge victorious from a training her superior doubted she would complete? She fondly remembered how she initially thought she wouldn’t make it past the first week of training. But in the end, everything worked well in her favor!

What made the experience even more special was the fact that Shannon was a woman. Since the Marine Corps was dominated mainly by male recruits, Shannon felt so empowered and inspired. Plus, some of her fellow trainees even had the audacity to laugh at Shannon, but they had no idea what she could do.
