Indeed, being in the Marines changed Shannon’s life. The experience taught her a handful of lessons no other job could ever give her. Not only that, but the memories will stay with Shannon even until she grows old – it would make an exciting story to tell once she has kids or grandkids too.

She also hoped that by sharing her tales, people wouldn’t think twice about enlisting. There will be more help if others are present at the boot camp. Aiming to protect the country and the people you love is the greatest achievement anyone can have. Shannon has no regrets about doing both!
