Looking at Dren from Splice, you would’ve never guessed there was a beautiful French woman underneath the creature’s alien-like features. That uncanny appearance is the product of CGI as Delphine Chanéac only sported her shaved head, a mark on her forehead, and tracking marks while shooting.

That said, you may be surprised to find out that Chanéac’s eyes are spaced proportionately in real life. She doesn’t have a tail or bent legs either. The now-42-year-old actress was actually working as a model before being cast as the futuristic humanoid in the 2009 sci-fi film.
