Lizzy Caplan As Janice Ian

Lizzy Caplan has done a lot since Mean Girls, but she’s still best remembered as the gothic and angsty Janis Ian. But despite the immense success the film had, you’d be shocked to know she found it difficult to book more work after it. Caplan even had to veer away from her usual look, dyed her hair blonde, and get a tan to get cast.

Fortunately, she’s back to her dark locks, though styled more contemporarily than Janis’, and is getting to play the offbeat characters she does best. Caplan recently starred as the lead of Castle Rock’s second season and Apple TV+’s crime series Truth Be Told.
