Sandra Oh As Cristina Yang

Actors are often required to change to portray a character. In a way, Sandra Oh experienced the opposite when she was cast to play TV doctor Cristina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy. The role was envisioned as a white woman but was later changed and shaped with Oh in mind.
Still, she is the anti-Cristina in many ways, too, being warmer and less competitive than her on-screen persona. That didn’t prevent Oh from achieving, though, winning a Golden Globe award not just for Grey’s Anatomy but also for Killing Eve, one of her latest critically-acclaimed projects.
