Catherine the Great

By now, you’ve seen time and time again that women, too, have borne powerful positions in history and have had direct impacts on changing the scope of the world we live in. Catherine II, a.k.a Catherine the Great, is one of them.
She served as the Empress of Russia between 1762 and 1796, which is the longest period in history for a female to have had the title. As per Live Science, she ruled with her heart more than she did with law, and it helped her develop the country’s empire significantly. She lived to be 67 years old, after which her son Paul I took her place.
