George Washington

You may recall George Washington being mentioned before. If you didn’t already know (which you should’ve), he is the very first president of the United States. He is one of the Founding Fathers of the country as well. Washington was in office when the U.S. Constitution was drafted.

Washington bore several titles and secured many accomplishments during his lifetime of 67 years, one of which was leading the Continental Army during the American Revolution. Even though he was initially pro-slavery, Washington changed and freed them in a 1799 will. He was married to Martha Dandridge for 40 years before passing away from epiglottitis.
