Simón Bolívar

Even though he is simply called Simón Bolívar, the Venezuelan military and political leader had an unusually long name. He was one of the most popular political icons of South America in the 19th century, having led Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Panama to independence.
Just as the previously discussed Madame de Pompadour, Bolívar, too, died from Tuberculosis at the age of 47 when he was on the seat as the first president of Gran Columbia. The digital portrait of him above in a comfy makes Bolívar look like he’s relaxing on a Sunday.
