Abraham Lincoln

Let us now look at the face you see on the American $5 bill—Abraham Lincoln. He was one of the most powerful characters of the 19th century, having served as the 16th President of the United States between 1861 and 1865.
Lincoln’s last day as the president was his last day on earth as John Wilkes Booth assassinated him on April 15, 1865. His life may have been short-lived, but Lincoln is remembered for his deeds during that time. For instance, he eliminated slavery and is also remembered for delivering the Gettysburg Address.
