Shaka Zulu

King Shaka kaSenzangakhona was sometimes addressed as Sigidi kaSenzangakhona but was most famously called Shaka Zulu. He ruled over the Zulu Kingdom between 1816 and 1828. Even though the Kingdom of Zululand does not exist anymore, he is still remembered as a monarch who had a great impact on it.

Shaka Zulu restructured the kingdom’s military into a powerful one by implementing a series of far-reaching and influential changes. After serving his land for a dozen years, Shaka Zulu was assassinated in 1828 by the hands of his very own half-brothers Dingane and Mhlangana.
