Gene Hackman – $80 Million

Gene Hackman might have retired from acting in 2004 but he had a fruitful and long career in showbiz. Over his five decades in Hollywood, he received five Academy Award nominations with a win for his lead in The French Connection. Bonnie & Clyde is another film that displayed Hackman’s exemplary acting and it earned him his very first Academy Award nomination. In retirement, he continued working in other fields of entertainment, and in 2016, he narrated a documentary that aired on the Smithsonian Channel. Despite saying that he wouldn’t get back on-screen again, he made a cameo in the 2018 Clint Eastwood film, The Mule.
