United States Senator since 2013, Ted Cruz is an influential figure in American politics, worth roughly $4 million. Initially starting his profession in law, he soon gravitated towards politics. The outspoken politician was the runner-up in the 2016 Republican President Nomination against Donald Trump. 

His investment banker wife, Heidi, also contributes to the couple’s wealth being the managing director for Goldman Sachs since 2012. Cruz released his best-selling book “One Vote Away: How a Single Supreme Court Seat Can Change History” in September 2020 after Justice of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s sudden passing in the month.
