Before Boris Johnson’s arrival to power, the British politician Theresa May was the United Kingdom’s prime minister. A self-assumed one-nation conservative, May was just the second woman to make it to the job after Margaret Thatcher’s election in the late ’70s. Known as one of the main figures behind the Brexit process, May served in office between 2016 and 2019 while simultaneously working as the Conservative Party leader. She resigned from both functions in 2019 but has remained an active voice in Britain’s political world. Her fortune is estimated to sit at $2.5 million.
