Eddie Murphy – $120 Million

Comedic actor Eddie Murphy is widely recognized for his appearance on Coming to America. After the film aired in 1988, humorist Art Buchwald sued Murphy and Paramount Pictures for allegedly basing the film’s ideas on a script that he had previously submitted to the production company.  Buckwald earned a $150K lawsuit settlement while his producing partner walked away with $750K. Murphy has earned Global Golden Award nominations recognizing his roles in several films, including The Nutty Professor, 48 Hrs., and Trading Places.
