Paul Merson retired from playing football in 2006 but didn’t exactly leave the industry.  He is now a Sky Sports panelist at Soccer Saturday where he airs his controversial sentiments and analysis of games, often finding himself in the hot seat for his opinions.

After all, the former Arsenal superstar has been open about his struggles, explaining his journey with The Guardian in 2021. Although it’s unclear how much Merson’s net worth is, he infamously blew his over $9-million fortune on ludicrous things. Thankfully, he managed to recover from this downfall by working as a pundit.
