Ricki Lake broke into the acting scene back in 1988, when she starred in the film Hairspray. She subsequently started gaining weight uncontrollably until she reached a top weight of 200 pounds. She decided to slim down around the mid-2000s. In 2011, she revealed that when she was a child, she had been violated, and then she turned to food in order to find psychological relief. She was then bullied for her weight, but she eventually managed to drop approximately 130 lbs! Lake managed to land a spot in the 2011 season of Dancing with the Stars, while in 2019, she appeared on the reality TV show, The Masked Singer.
