The reason why modern music festivals will never be able to recapture Woodstock‘s spirit is not in any way related to the music, to the festival’s site, or the organizer’s plans. It’s intrinsically connected to the attendees’ mindset.

Instead of running away from the rain or complaining about the terrible muddy conditions, these four youngsters are happy to engage with whatever nature has given them. They have even decided to take their shoes off to freely roam through the wet and muddy festival site. In the end, the Woodstock revelers just wanted to connect, have fun, and enjoy whatever was thrown their way.
