As we continue with our insanely overpriced substances- depending on how you look at it- we have landed on a member of the medical fraternity. It goes by the name naglazyme, and it costs $288 million per kg, making it the most expensive item so far.

This sounds like the price of something that cures aging and global warming, but it is used in something less drastic but still quite dramatic in a way. Naglazyme is used to treat the symptoms of a genetic ailment known as Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome, which affects motor stability, and the enzyme helps in improving this condition. That price is definitely worth it.
