Uranium – $79/Kg

You would have probably heard of Uranium in a superhero movie, where the bad guys fight over its control. Roughly priced at $61/kg, what exactly makes the material so coveted between countries? The naturally radioactive element has many uses, but the most attractive one is the generation of electricity by the production of nuclear fuel.
It is one of the rare clean fuels available, and what drives the prices up is that it is found only in a few regions, meaning the demand is higher than the supply. And since it is a naturally occurring element, it is even harder to mine.
