The native color of a topaz stone is light brown, and you can easily fetch these for around $8 per carat which amounts to $40K per kilogram! imperial topaz is said to be super rare, though. It has an amber-red color, whereas the center of the gem exhibits an orange body color with pink undertones and can fetch around $3500 per carat!
