The View’s Better From The Top

Since the festival gathered hundreds of thousands of attendees, not everybody could get a good view of the stage. A majority of them were not even close to seeing their favorite musical acts. This photo shows the struggle of how some people tried to get a better sight.
Others took a risk by scaling a 70-foot sound tower that was not built for any kind of weight like this. According to production coordinator John Morris, if that tower had fallen, it would have injured and possibly killed many. Luckily, it did not. Photographer, Elliott Landy states this photo symbolizes the nature of the ’60s.
