Canned Heat’s Hot Performance

American blues and rock band Canned Heat was formed back in 1965. They were well recognized for promoting their blues-fused rock genre of music. Their appearance at Woodstock was unforgettable for being electric, and their on-stage aura got the crowd excited.
The group’s recent single at the time, “Going Up the Country,” became an anthem for Woodstock when it featured in the self-titled documentary. The audience craved more of their music at the end of their act and rightly so earned the loudest and longest ovations of the entire concert.
