Can’t Rain On My Parade

The Woodstock festival was held at Max Yasgur’s dairy farm in New York. Shortly after Joe Cocker’s set on Sunday, the heavens opened, and it endured heavy rainfall. Being an outdoor concert, it turned the festival into a giant mud pit, but that did not dampen anybody’s mood.
The heavy and inconsistent weather conditions put a strain on the timing of the performances. It added an extra day to what was originally a three-day event. The thunderstorms ended up thinning the crowd a little before Jimi Hendricks closed out the festival.
