In European folklore and other superstitious beliefs, a black cat is thought to bring bad luck. They are considered an omen of trouble and death, which can instill fear in non-believers. However, this fact does not impact some people’s decision to have them as pets.

After all, it’s not like a history of black cat owners mysteriously dying or suddenly facing downfalls in life. We guess the worst that could happen by owning a full black cat is humans either accidentally sitting or stepping on them. Why? Because their darkness camouflages into anything with a pure black background, making it almost impossible to spot them. This picture is the perfect example.
