It is generally believed that people who are similar to each other get along well. It has more to do with similar views, thoughts, and interests and hardly anything to do with looking alike. Perhaps it’s different with animals, which explains why this live duck instantly connected with the other figure that looked exactly like it.

We’re guessing it didn’t realize it was a statue until it got closer. We feel sorry for the poor guy who looks heartbroken about his fellow brother with a severed neck. As per Fao.org, geese are very intelligent birds. So while he may be sad, he’ll also quickly figure out that it isn’t a real goose.
