Vice President Teodorin Obiang Nguema – Ferrari LaFerrari

Similar to Brunei, the Royal family of Equatorial Guinea has also profited from its oil reserves. Teodoro Obiang Nguema is the Vice President and son of President Teodoro Obiang, who was appointed the position by his father in 2012. We wonder if it gets confusing since the two hold the same first name.  

The V.P. boasted a collection of supercars, including a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari. Unfortunately, most of it had to be sold at auction after Swiss prosecutors launched an investigation on his undeclared possessions in Geneva. In July 2021, Equatorial Guinea closed its embassy to the United Kingdom after they tried to interfere with Teodoro’s spending.
