Former President Herbert Hoover – Cadillac V-16 Fleetwood Imperial

Franklin D. Roosevelt succeeded former 31st American President Herbert Hoover in 1933. After World War I, he helped supply relief to Central and Eastern Europe. His services during the war made him a favorite figure among many. He was known as a ‘feeder of the world.’
He took office in 1929, around the start of the Great Depression. So his decision to purchase a Cadillac V-16 as his state vehicle before he was ousted was met with ridicule. In October 2021, the Hoover Hunger Project worked with volunteers to help feed 100,000 meals for the homeless. They honored the late President for his humanitarian work.
