Former President José Mujica – Volkswagen Beetle

Former Uraguay President Jose Mujica was often referred to as one of the most humble heads of state. This is due to his modest lifestyle, and he regularly donated most of his monthly Government salary to charities. 

If Mujica is not riding his 60-year old bicycle, he chooses his trusty 1987 Volkswagen Beetle to get from A to B. Rumor has it; an Arab Sheik once offered him $1 million for the respectful car. However, he did not accept but did say if he did, he would give it all to charity.
