Cow Appreciation Day is Mandatory
Chick-Fil-A began with the tradition of celebrating Cow Appreciation Day in 2005. On this day, the company focuses on its ‘Eat More Chikin’ logo and encourages the people to dress as cows to get a free entrée and freebies such as chicken sandwiches in their locations nationwide.
This is done to enhance their sales with the largest single-day customer appreciation event. Additionally, it is done to encourage chicken eating and discourage beef. The equivalent of Black Friday, this event is a tough one for the employees as they have to handle a huge number of customers.
