Bono – $700 Million
At just 16, Irish singer-songwriter Bono formed the popular rock band U2. As the band’s frontman, Bono has earned 22 Grammys and he also became a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Bono has also worked on several collaborations with other artists outside the band and he’s also a managing partner and director of Elevation Partners, a private equity firm. Forty-two years later and he’s amassed a personal fortune of $700 million, and Bono is very generous with his wealth. He supports social justice causes both as part of the band and individually, geared towards eradicating poverty and providing sensitization about AIDS.
