Author James Patterson has sold over 300 million copies of his publications and he boasts of being the first person to have sold 1 million ebooks. He ranked top on the Forbes highest-paid authors list for three succeeding years starting from 2014. Some of his series of work includes Alex Cross, Women’s Murder Club, and Private. As of 2019, his estimated wealth is $800 million and as a philanthropist, Patterson spends most of his fortune on various causes. His generosity had led him to donate books, establish libraries, and offer scholarships to various schools. Some of Patterson’s works have been adapted to films and TV shows, including Alex Cross, Zoo, and Instinct in 2018.
