In 2021, Financial Times published an opinion article about Paul Keating’s peaceful diplomatic strategies with Asia. It was but one of the many visionary ideas pushed forward by the Australian politician, who served as the 24th prime minister of Australia between 1991 and 1996. A popular figure in the land down under, Keating was the subject of a 2005 award-winning musical comedy titled “Keating!”

Speaking of show business, the former Prime Minister of Australia’s been enjoying the company of an actress since the late ’90s. She’s Julianne Newbould, best known for her work in “The Restless Years.” Before meeting Newbould, Keating was married to the Australian artist Annita van Iersel.
