Penelope Keith – 81, To the Manor Born

In March 2022, British fans were sad to learn about the passing of Peter Bowles, the star of the beloved sitcom “To the Manor Born.” Bowles used to share the studio set with the English actress/host Dame Penelope Keith, also known for her work in “The Good Life.” While she hasn’t acted on screen since 2013, Keith is still alive and officially active.

Appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2014, Keith worked in over 60 acting productions since making her debut in the late ’50s. She was last seen in the 2020 TV movie documentary “Britain’s Most Expensive Home: Building for a Billionaire.”

Today, the elusive actress is super selective when it comes to roles and is currently busy with filming dates of the 2022 documentary, Midnight Men – A John Schlesinger & Michael Childers Story.
