1954 Chevrolet Corvette

Owning a Corvette is a matter of prestige and pride. This, like many of the vehicles on this list, is reserved for Sunday drives and car display shows. But back in 1954, when the model was still in its infancy, it was manufactured purely as a base model, to be modified as the owner wishes.
This in itself must have been appealing since it allowed young automobile enthusiast to customize their vehicles in whichever way they liked. It was also perfect for the younger generations who weren’t clued up on mechanics since it broke down far less than other vehicles. Only 3,640 of these were manufactured.
