The 84-year-old actress Maggie Smith is not only alive and well, but she’s also still working hard in the movie and television industry. Modern audiences will recognize her for her notable role as Violet Crawley in Downtown Abbey, but she’s been appearing in movies and TV shows ever since the ’50s. Known for her British accent and ways, which she normally incorporates in her characters, Smith was also responsible for portraying Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movie franchise. In 2020, she will be part of the upcoming UK production, A Boy Called Christmas.
