Standing Up Against the New Rule of LPGA

In July 2017, when LPGA introduced a more modest dress code for women, there was immense criticism from news outlets. Paige wrote a piece criticizing them entitled “The Progression of Women’s Golf Is Plunging Further than Our Necklines.” Paige called out the new dress code policy that included no leggings, joggers, or plunging necklines.
Referring to herself both as an ambassador for golf and an advocate for women’s rights, she wrote that she recognized the need to have rules and regulations in golf as part of a tradition that needs to be upheld. However, the newer policies were stifling the growth of women’s golf.
